  • There’s Something About Nik by Sara Hantz from Entangled: Crush (Entangled Publishing, LLC) — released February 13th, 2017.  Entangled was super nice and offered me this book on release day.  See my review here.
  • Forever Mine (Opposites Attract #2) by Erin Nicholas from Forever (Grand Central Publishing) — releases March 28th, 2017.  I read the first book in this series through NetGalley, and so was offered the opportunity to request this book and I took it.  I enjoy the geeky aspects of the heroines.  See my review of book one here.

  • Operation Prom Date (Tactics in Flirting #1) by Cindi Madsen — releases March 13th, 2017.  No preorder link yet.  Super excited for this one, it sounds adorbs.
  • Objects in Mirror by Tudor Robins — previously released and now being rereleased.  It sounds like a fabulous and heartbreaking book.

  • Taboo for You (Friends to Lovers #1) by Anyta Sunday — This one was all Curly Carla’s fault.  She posted about this one being free on our page, and so I had to one-click.  I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read by this author so far.  Still free!
  • The Cad and the Co-Ed (Rugby #3) by L.H. Cosway & Penny Reid — I’ve only read the first in this series, and actually wasn’t blown away.  But I’m curious about the rest.  So when I saw in Penny Reid’s newsletter that this book was on a release sale of $2.99 from its regular $4.99 until February 17th, I figured I’d nab it.  Unfortunately that means it’s no longer on sale.  Both of these authors will be at the Big Apple Author Event in October 2017 that I will be attending.
  • Keeping Mr. Right Now (Kisses in the Sand #1) by Robin Bielman — Another eReaderIQ alert because I’m watching this author’s books, and this one went on sale for 99 cents from its regular $2.99 so I snatched it up.  A surfer and a klutzy bookworm?  Yup, that sounds like a Lenore book.  Still on sale!

  • Pillowtalk by Cassie Mae from Loveswept (Random House Publishing Group – Loveswept) — releases April 4th, 2017.  I was actually able to read an early version of this book last fall and Aaron is seriously swoontastic.  I can’t wait to read the final version and swoon all over again.
  • Dancing in the Rain by Kelly Jamieson from Loveswept (Random House Publishing Group – Loveswept) — releases April 11th, 2017.  I’ve seen some bloggers talking about this author and how much they love her hockey books.  So when I saw her name, I figured why not give her writing a chance!

ARCs from Authors/PR Companies:

  • Don’t Speak (A Modern Fairytale) by Katy Regnery from L. Woods PR — releases February 27th, 2017.  I have not had a chance to read her other Modern Fairytale stories, but she’s an author I love for her other contemporary romances, so I’m looking forward to this take on The Little Mermaid.  She’s another author I’m hoping to meet in May at Romancing the Falls.

New Releases:

  • Sweet Tea and Summer Love by Regan Claire — I actually had the privilege of beta reading this mature YA, and so obviously I wanted the final copy for my Kindle.  Review coming soon!

 Got It On Sale:

  • Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway — I’ve seen this one recommended by bloggers, and I’ve been intrigued.  So when I saw it was on sale in one of my The Rock Stars of Romance emails, I went for it.  Still on sale for $1.99 I think.
  • Beaus & Arrows: A Collection of Sweet and Sexy Stories by Various Authors — I bought this one solely for Rebecca Yarros’s short story about Bash’s proposal.  And quite frankly, it’s only 99 cents and the proceeds go to Pennies-4-Paws!
  • The Fine Art of Pretending (The Fine Art of Pretending #1) and The Natural History of Us (The Fine Art of Pretending #2) by Rachel Harris — I’ve had these two books on my wishlist for a while, because they’ve been recommended by friends and authors I love.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that they were both on sale for $1.99 from their usual $4.49, I said yes please!  Still on sale!
  • Fake Fiancée by Ilsa Madden-Mills — This is a new release that is apparently on sale for 99 cents for a limited time (still on sale), and I think I saw a blog blitz on one of the blogs I follow, and also saw it on a TRSOR email, and since this author will be at the Big Apple Author Event in October 2017 that I will be attending, I figured why not?

  • Off the Ice (Juniper Falls #1) by Julie Cross from Entangled: Teen (Entangled Publishing, LLC) — releases February 28th, 2017.  I read a book by this author in the fall and really enjoyed it (see review here), so seeing a young adult book by her through Entangled about hockey was all I needed to know.

ARCs from Authors/PR Companies:

  • A Boy Like You by Ginger Scott from Wordsmith Publicity — releases March 3rd, 2017.  I adore this author, and have no qualms signing up to get an early look at her books.  I preordered it too, b/c I’m that sure.  I’m hoping to meet her in May at Romancing the Falls.

  • Tapping the Billionaire (Bad Boy Billionaires #1) by Max Monroe — I saw this series raved about on one of the new blogs I follow, A Novel Glimpse.  So when BookBub told me it was free from its usual like $5+, I dove on top of that.  Still free!
  • Armored (The Té-trad Tale #1) by M.A. Wilder — I recently did a live video on our Facebook page talking about my Diversity Challenges, and was particularly looking for Indie or small-press books with a black main character.  Lillian @ Mom with a Reading Problem recommended this one, and since it was free I said YES PLEASE!  Still free!

  • Awaken (Brightest Kind of Darkness #5) by P.T. Michelle — Both Curly Carla and I have been waiting for the last book in this series for years it seems, and it’s finally here!  It’s a bit stretching my personal price range, but I know that authors rarely (if ever) put the final books in the series on sale, and since the author mentioned it was slightly cheaper for preorder and release day, I sucked it up.  Again, it’s NOT that I don’t think these books are worth this price, I’m just cheap.  It’s a personal flaw that has no bearing on the worthiness of the books.  🙂

 Got It On Sale:

23768413308272733062483631924514

  • Amour Amour (Aerial Ethereal #1) by Krista & Becca Ritchie — Ever since I read the first few books in the Addicted series by these authors last year, and met them both at the Emerald City Author Event, I’ve followed them.  And as such, eReaderIQ sent me a notice that this book was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $3.99.  Still on sale!
  • The Hard Count by Ginger Scott — I received and read an ARC of this book this summer, but I always like having a final copy in my hands, so when eReaderIQ told me it was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $3.99, I snatched it up.  See my review here if you want to know why you need to take advantage of this amazing sale as well (bonus points, it’s a diverse read!).
  • The Debt by Karina Halle — This author will be attending the Big Apple Author Event in October 2017 that I will be attending, and while I’ve only read part of her paranormal series, I keep an eye on her books.  So when I saw this one on BookBub for $1.99 (though I think I got it for 99 cents) from its usual close to $5, I one-clicked it!!  I’ve really been wanting to read her contemporary romances, so might as well grab them for a deal.  And this one is still on sale!
  • Chase the Sun (Free Fall #2) by Christina Lee & Nyrae Dawn — I *just* got an eReaderIQ alert that this book is on sale for 99 cents from its usual $3.99.  I ADORE Ms. Dawn, and have even had the privilege of beta reading for her once, so I’m always up for reading more of her books.  I haven’t read book one yet, but I already have it.  This must be a sale to celebrate book three coming out in February.

Loaned to Me:

23337863

  • Grin and Beard It (Winston Brothers #2) by Penny Reid — My lovely co-pilot on this blog, Curly Carla, loaned this book to me so I could fulfil the Body Diversity theme for January for the Platypire Diversity Challenge.  It was so amazing I immediately bought it upon finishing it so I wouldn’t lose all my highlights.  See my review here.

Preorders That Went Live:

33847260

  • Chasing Polaris by Erica Cope and Autumn Doughton — Released on January 17th, 2017.  I haven’t stayed caught up with Ms. Doughton, but I’ve loved the previous books I’ve read about hers, so I keep buying her new releases.  And this one was only 99 cents (still is), so it was a no-brainer.  Now if only I could find some time to catch up.

More Book Outlet Craziness:

No sale this time from Book Outlet, just a few of the books I wishlisted but were then sold out came available, so I snagged them.

IMG_20170121_204443.jpg

  • Under the Spotlight (The Jamieson Collection #3) by Angie Stanton — I completed my collection!!  This is the one book in the series I haven’t read yet, but I knew I was going to want all of them.  But seriously, I need to finish this series.
  • Geek Magnet by Kieran Scott — My favourite author recommended this one, and that was good enough for me.  Especially when I can get the paperback for cheaper than the Kindle version.
  • Love Me Never (Lovely Vicious #1) by Sara Wolf — I’ve read this book twice, once when it was indie-published, and then again when it was picked up by Entangled Teen (see my review here).  I adore Isis, so needed this one.  I was kind of disappointed that someone wrote on the cover though… 😦
  • Whatever Life Throws at You by Julie Cross — I recently read Chasing Truth by this author and really enjoyed it, so thought I might try another book by this author.  It was only $2, so I figured why not.
  • A Thousand Pieces of You (Firebird #1) by Claudia Gray — I’ve seen a lot of buzz about this book, and it sounds intriguing, but as always the Kindle book is above my price threshold.  So I took a chance.

 Got It On Sale:

220755082532431230256437

  • Alex (Cold Fury Hockey #1) by Sawyer Bennett — I was actually cleaning up my wishlist and had ordered my books from lowest to highest priced (because then I can find the ones now unavailable), and I saw this one for 99 cents.  Eventually I also saw it on BookBub, still on sale for 99 cents from its usual $4.99.  I recently read a NetGalley ARC of a later book in this series, Max, and really enjoyed it, so definitely wanted to read more from that series.
  • Her Secret Prince (Royal Holiday #2, Rags to Riches) by Madeline Ash — Last Christmas (ie Christmas 2015) I read You for Christmas by this author (part of the Rags to Riches series) and really enjoyed it.  I noticed some characters that I was sure had their own stories, and tracked those down and wishlisted them.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was free from its usual $2.99 (still is), I one-clicked the bejeezus out of it.
  • Phase (Phoebe Reede: The Untold Story #1) by Michelle Irwin — This one was recommended to me on a gazillion fronts!  I saw it on My Book Cave email for free from regular $3.99 (still on sale) and was intrigued.  And then Curly Carla shared the sale on our Facebook page b/c she knows the author, and that was the straw that broke my one-click finger…:)

  • Speak No Evil (Brotherhood #2) by Jordan Ford — I beta read this book!!  I need to add it to my Goodreads list of books that have my name in them…;)  Such a great book, if you haven’t started this series, I definitely recommend it!  Released on January 11th, 2017.
  • Make Lemonade (a Hope Falls Kindle World novella) by Cassie Mae — Another book I beta read!!  This one is so short and sweet, I adored it.  Check out my review here.  Released on January 12th, 2017.

Preorders That Went Live:

  • Finding Kyler (The Kennedy Boys #1) by Siobhan Davis — Released on January 9th, 2017.  I discovered this one from a post by Lillian @Mom With a Reading Problem, and it sounded like something that would tickle my fancy.  And since it was only 99 cents, I said CLICK!
  • #Blur (GearShark #4) by Cambria Hebert — Released on January 10th, 2017.  I’m a super fan of this series, even if I’ve only read the first two, so I’ve been looking forward to Arrow’s book for awhile.  Course, now I’m super behind on all my reading, so who knows what I’ll get to this one.  😦

Jingle Bell Book Exchange:

I mentioned the Jingle Bell Book Exchange a few weeks ago, and one of the lovely ladies participating sent me a book in the mail!!  I actually completely forgot about it because of how slow mail is to Canada, so when it arrived I was so confused!!  Thanks again Platypire Bob (aka Valari)!

IMG_20170114_171533.jpg

  • From Sand and Ash by Amy Harmon — I adore this author, and although I’m not a huge historical fan, I am truly intrigued by this one.

My Boxing Day Book Outlet Craziness:

So Book Outlet had another sale for Boxing Day where if you spent like $30, you got $10 off, and if you spent $50, you got $20 off…so of course you know I went for the $50.  Saved more than the shipping.  Of course then two of the books didn’t ship, but I still got a fricking amazing deal, don’t you think?

img_20170114_171740

  • Bleed Like Me and Fault Line by Christa Desir (or C. Desir) — One of my friend authors adores this author and even co-wrote a book with her, so I figured I should give her a shot!
  • What Happens Next by Colleen Clayton — I’ve had this one on my wishlist on Amazon for quite some time, as it was reviewed well by people I follow on Goodreads.  But I’d lost hope it would go on sale, so I figure if I can get the paperback for much less than the Kindle version, why not?
  • Modern Monsters by Kelley York — I’ve loved other books I’ve read by this author, really affecting stuff.  I actually recently got this one on sale for Kindle, but I figured since this was such a great deal, I would hedge my bets that I’ll want the paperback too.
  • Searching for Beautiful (Searching For #3) by Jennifer Probst — This is an author that will be attending the Big Apple Author Event in October 2017 that I will be attending, and I’ve only read one book by her but enjoyed it.  So I took a chance on this one because I love friends to lovers stories.
  • The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight and This is What Happy Looks Like (This is What Happy Looks Like #1) by Jennifer E. Smith — I read and thoroughly ADORED This is What Happy Looks Like, so obviously wanted it in paperback…and I figured I would try another book by this author as well.  I actually really wanted The Geography of You and Me, but apparently they oversold and so I didn’t get it (even though I thought I did).  Darn internets failed me.  But really, like I needed more books.
  • The Summer of Chasing Mermaids by Sarah Ockler — This book was in a bunch of Top Ten Tuesday lists for a few different topics, and so I listened to their recommendations and said “yes please!”
  • Detours, Do-Overs, and Dares – A Morgan Matson Collection: Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour; Second Chance Summer; Since You’ve Been Gone — Everyone and their dog recommends Morgan Matson to me, so a collection for cheap?  Again, “yes please!”

 Got It On Sale:

  • Lured In (Fishing for Trouble #2) by Laura Drewry — I actually got an ARC of this book from NetGalley (see my review here), and I really enjoyed it!  So I wishlisted it, and eReaderIQ let me know that it was on sale for 99 cents from its regular $3.99, so I snapped it up.  Still on sale!
  • My Perfect Mistake (Over the Top #1) by Kelly Siskind — I got book two in this series from NetGalley (see my review here) and loved it, so I put this one on my wishlist.  And again, got an eReaderIQ email letting me know it was on sale for 99 cents from its regular $3.99!  Also still on sale!
  • Snowflake Kisses: A Kpop Romance Novella (Kpop Romance Novellas #1) by Jennie Bennett — This author and I have mutual friends, and we’re part of a group together, and I find her delightful.  Her second Kpop novella recently released, so she put this first one on for 99 cents and I snatched it up.  Alas, the sale is over.
  • Defective (The Defective Trilogy #1) by Autumn Kalquist — So I actually got an ARC of this one in November, but then I got an email that it was going to be free for, like, a day, so I snatched it up so when I finally get to it, I’ll have that nice verified purchase beside my review.  😛  But alas, the sale is over.
  • Leo Tops Aries (Signs of Love #1.5) by Anyta Sunday — I nabbed book one in this series from NetGalley, and I know as soon as I read that I’m going to want to read this one, so since it was free I snagged it!

Cosway & Penny Reid — Two more authors that will be at the Big Apple Author Event, my eReaderIQ alerted me that this was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $4.99, and good news!  It’s still on sale!  I read the first book in this series and actually didn’t fall in love, but I’m willing to give them another shot.
  • The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson — One of those books that’s recommended by everyone, so you put it on your wishlist never expecting it to go on sale (especially in Canada), and then you get an eReaderIQ alert, and it is!!  On sale for $1.99 from its usual $10.99.  Woop woop!  Still on sale.
  • Rules of a Rebel and a Shy Girl by Jessica Sorensen — I’ve read quite a few of this author’s books, and while she can be hit or miss with me, I felt like I couldn’t resist this one by the title alone.  So I wishlisted it.  And got an eReaderIQ alert that it was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $4.99 (still on sale).
  • A Mortal Song by Megan Crewe — While I never wishlisted this one, I was intrigued by it after reading this review by Mom With a Reading Problem.  So when I saw it advertised on BookBub for 99 cents from its usual $3.99, I figured why not.  Not to mention it might help with one of my diversity challenges monthly themes.
  • Big Rock (Big Rock #1?) by Lauren Blakely — I’ve recently started following both A Novel Glimpse and My Tiny Obsessions, and they both recommend this book (as well as others in this series), so when I saw it advertised on The Rock Stars of Romance as on sale for 99 cents, I didn’t hesistate.  🙂

  • #1 Crush (Loose Ends #1) by Kaia Bennett — I don’t remember where I discovered this one or the sale…but I got it for free, and it’s still free!
  • Slave to the Rhythm (The Rhythm #1) by Jane Harvey-Berrick — I think I saw this one advertised for sale on the Big Apple Author Event page on Facebook (since this author is attending).  Got it for 99 cents, and still on sale!
  • Beard Science (Winston Brothers #3) by Penny Reid — Got an eReaderIQ alert that this was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $5.99!  Another BAAE author.  Sadly this one is no longer on sale.
  • The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord — Saw this one on A Novel Glimpse’s Top Ten Books of 2016 list, and then saw it was only $2.99 when most of this author’s other novels are way more.  Not sure if it’s a sale, or just an anomaly, but I grabbed it anyways.
  • Qualify (The Atlantis Grail #1) by Vera Nazarian — Saw this one on BookBub for free, and then had a favourite author recommend it so I figured why not!  It’s still free.

  • Lost Girls by Merrie Destefano from Entangled: Teen (Entangled Publishing, LLC) — releases January 3rd, 2017.
  • Tangled Up (Taking Chances #2) by Erin Nicholas from Montlake Romance — releases January 17th, 2017.

ARCs from Authors/PR Companies:

  • Why Not? (Love Riddles #3) by Carey Heywood — releases January 10th, 2017.
  • Speak No Evil (Brotherhood #2) by Jordan Ford — anticipated release is January 11th, 2017.  I’ve actually already beta read this book, but I didn’t write up a review because there would be changes.  So I need to figure out when to do a skim-type reread of the book and write up my review.

Cassie Mae’s Awesome Nerds Secret Santa:

So I belong to author Cassie Mae’s fan group, Cassie Mae’s Awesome Nerds, and some of us nerds participated in a Secret Santa exchange this year.  This can be complicated due to readers living all over the world, and my poor Santa had a heck of a time sending my gifts since she was from the UK.  But she sent me a gift card with the right amount to buy two specific books from my wishlist!  Thanks again Charlotte!

  • Adorkable by Cookie O’Gorman — This book went on my list because of this review from Anita Loves 2 Read!  I mean, I’d been thinking about it before then, but this review put me over the edge and had me hitting wishlist.
  • Mistakenly Married (The Married Series #3) by Victorine E. Lieske — I’ve read the first in this series, and I’m super excited to read more because these books are so cute and freaking hilarious.  (Also, another author from Love Laughter and Happily Ever After group on Facebook).  ALSO!  It just went on sale for free!!

Preorders That Went Live:

33377008

Fated
by A.J. Brooks — This beauty is the debut by the writing duo of Jolene Perry and Allison Martin/A.I. Martin (I’ve read her as Allie Brennan).  And it was 99 cents!  So obviously I preordered.  😉

My Cyber Monday Book Outlet Craziness:

So Book Outlet had a sale where I think all their books were like an extra 20% off or something?  It was a great deal, and averaged out even with shipping included, I basically got each of these for about $5 each (some were more, some were less).

IMG_20161204_210426.jpg

  • Rock and a Hard Place (The Jamieson Collection #1) and Snapshot (The Jamieson Collection #2) by Angie Stanton — Read them both and loved them both and actually have the first one SIGNED, but in the Indie cover…but since I wanted the second one, I kind of wanted them matchy matchy.  Now I just need to get book 3 to complete my collection (though I have yet to read it).
  • Façade (Games #2) and Masquerade (Games #3) by Nyrae Dawn — Have the first book (Charade) signed by the author, so wanted to complete the trilogy (though I still need to read book 3).
  • Elite (Eagle Elite #1) and Elect (Eagle Elite #2) by Rachel Van Dyken — This author is hit or miss for me, but since she will be attending the Big Apple Author Event in October 2017 that I will be attending, I decided to take a chance on this series.
  • Bad Romeo (Starcrossed #1), Broken Juliet (Starcrossed #2) and Wicked Heart (Starcrossed #3) by Leisa Rayven — This is an author I have not read anything by, but who will also be attending BAAE, and this series has come highly recommended by a few bloggers I follow.  So I again took a chance.  It’s very unlike me.
  • Ready to Wed by Cindi Madsen — I’ve read a few of Ms. Madsen’s books, so figured this should be a slam dunk for me!  Another author from Love Laughter and Happily Ever After.  Also, apparently it’s been renamed and covered, so that could be why I found it on Book Outlet for cheap.
  • Take Me There by Susane Colasanti — This author is a favourite of one of my favourite authors, so I asked for her number one recommendation and this was it.
  • The Boy Most Likely To (My Life Next Door #2) by Huntley Fitzpatrick — I thoroughly enjoyed the first book (My Life Next Door) and have been really wanting to read this followup about Tim and Alice, but it’s one of those over $5 Kindle books, so when I can buy a hardcover for less, I say score!
  • Glass Heart (Cold Kiss #2) by Amy Garvey — I won the first book in this series from a Goodreads giveaway a long time ago and really enjoyed it.  So I figured it might be time to find out what happens next.  (Because with it being $10+ for the Kindle version for me, it was never going to happen otherwise)
  • I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson — And this is one I picked the wrong Jandy Nelson book.  My fave author loves The Sky is Everywhere, but I forgot and put this one in the cart instead…and it turns out I have this one on Kindle.  So I hope this turns out to be a favourite book!  *snort*

More Paperback Purchases:

img_20161220_144731img_20161220_150846

  • Made for You (The Best Mistake #2) by Lauren Layne — An author I’m REALLY REALLY looking forward to meeting at the BAAE, so I’ve started collecting books for her to sign.  I haven’t read this one yet, but I’m not worried.
  • Lick & Play (Stage Dive #1 & 2) by Kylie Scott — I’ve wanted to read this series for a while, but when the first Kindle book is $4, and the rest are $5, it doesn’t really scream dive in (see what I did there?).  But both books were $6 in this paperback, and for some reason I’m willing to pay for paper.  So here’s hoping it lives up to my expectations.
  • What If by Rebecca Donovan — I really enjoyed the Breathing series by Ms. Donovan, so snatched up this paperback for $6 (even though I apparently have the kindle copy, I really need to pay attention to these things), so here’s hoping I enjoy it.
  • Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days #1) by Susan Ee — I LOVED this first book.  I have yet to finish the series, but I loved this book enough to want it on my shelf…even though apparently it’s on sale at Amazon, so I could have gotten it cheaper.  😛
  • Rule (Marked Men #1) by Jay Crownover — I hear about this series and author a lot, and the paperback was only $6, whereas the Kindle copy is $10+ for me, so I figured I’d give it a shot.  It was that darned Indigo gift card burning a hole in my pocket.
  • Where the Stars Still Shine by Trish Doller — Another one I apparently already have on Kindle but forgot.  But hey, hardcover for only $6, and I loved one other book by Ms. Doller so fingers are crossed.
  • Cuff Me (New York’s Finest #3) by Lauren Layne — I’ve read the first two in this series, and they actually didn’t blow me away…but I really really wanted to read the third book the most, and wasn’t approved from NetGalley (boo), so when I saw this at the Wee Book Inn (used book store) I figured why not!  And bonus, if I love it I can get it signed!
  • Just One of the Guys by Kristan Higgins — I’ve had this particular Kristan Higgins book on my wishlist for FOREVER, and I don’t remember what drew me to it (maybe it was recommended?).  But when I saw it at the Wee Book Inn, again…I figured why not?
  • Night Reigns (Immortal Guardians #2), Night Unbound (Immortal Guardians #5) and Shadows Strike (Immortal Guardians #6) by Dianne Duvall — I really love this series, so adding them to my bookshelf (even used) is something I totally want to do!!

  • Bound (Fire on Ice #1) by Brenda Rothert — After reading and loving Hooked by Ms. Rothert, I went looking through her other books to see what she had to offer.  And when I saw this one for free, I one-clicked like my life was depending on it!  Don’t know if it’s a sale or always free, but it’s mine!
  • Edge of Recovery (Love on the Edge #2) and Edge of Bliss (Love on the Edge #3) by Molly E. Lee — When I was doing the Stacking the Shelves last week and was wondering where I spotted some sales, I pulled up the darned The Rock Stars of Romance sale page and spotted these ones on for 99 cents each.  So I had to complete my collection.
  • Snow Angel (Hope Falls #5) by Melanie Shawn — Saw this one on BookBub for free (still is) when it’s usually apparently $5 ish.  And since my favourite author will be writing a book for this series next year, I thought I should introduce myself to it!
  • The Purest Hook (Second Circle Tattoos #3) by Scarlett Cole — Got an eReaderIQ alert that this was on sale for 99 cents (still is) from it’s usual $3.99.  Earlier this year I read The Strongest Steel (book 1) and The Darkest Link (book 4) and enjoyed them both, so I want to fill in the middle now.
  • It’s a Mall World After All by Janette Rallison — Saw this one on My Book Cave e-mail for free (still is) from regular $2.99   This is another author from the Love Laughter and Happily Ever After group on Facebook, and I’ve yet to read her so thought I would grab this!
  • Stroked (Stroked #1) by Meghan Quinn — Saw this one on BookBub for free (still is) from regular $5 (ish) and I had recently read this review from My Tiny Obsessions, so I was convinced to give it a try!
  • This is INDIE: Winter 2017 — This is a cool new catalogue thingie that’s trying to mimick those sneak peek things that publishers do, but for popular Indie authors.  It’s not a book per say so much as a listing of upcoming or recently released books, where to buy them, sometimes early cover reveals, or exclusive excerpts.  I had to wait a bit for it to go free for me in Canada, and there’s another one that I’m still waiting to go free (This is Romance), but I thought I should check it out!  It’s always free now that the price has adjusted.  Check out the This is Indie/This is Romance page on Facebook for more information.

  • Things I Should Have Known by Claire LaZebnik from HMH Books for Young Readers (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Children’s Book Group) — releases March 28, 2017.  This author is part of a group I recently joined on Facebook, Love Laughter and Happily Ever After, so when I saw this on NetGalley I figured it would be a great way to introduce myself to her work!

Jingle Bell Book Exchange:

The Jingle Bell Book Exchange is on its second year (and is over now) and is a group of readers who post their Christmas wishlists and then other readers buy books for them!  The rule is that you have to purchase at least 1 book for someone else.  They can be Kindle books or Paperbacks/Hardcovers.  I love this, b/c you get to give and receive!  I love making someone else’s day!  And I love scoring some highly coveted books!

32486744297696752896555426502558

  • Daring Fate (Silver Tip Pack #1) by Megan Erickson from Victoria!  I put this one on my wishlist b/c I get Ms. Erickson’s newsletter and the blurb and teaser just pulled me right in!
  • Vampire Girl (Vampire Girl #1) by Karpov Kinrade from Megan!  This one made it on my wishlist b/c of Curly Carla (damn her).  See her review here.
  • Four Letter Word (Dirty Deeds #1) by J. Daniels from Amy!  This one made it on the list b/c the author will be at the Big Apple Author Event and I keep seeing everyone post about it!
  • Finding Perfect (Finding Perfect #1) by Kendra C. Highley from Beth!  This one made it on the list after I read and loved The Bad Boy Bargain by this author.  Definitely wanted to check out more from her.

Preorders That Went Live:

51wagvrxvalWicked Winter anthology by Various Authors — I actually don’t know any of the authors of these 15 stories, but I was looking for some new Christmas stuff a while ago (not realizing I would go crazy on NetGalley) and so I saw this one of paranormal stories for only 99 cents, and I said “PREORDER!”  AND it’s still only 99 cents, AND all proceeds go to the Alzheimer’s Association!  Done and done.

Recommended by a Blog I Follow:

Being Brooke by Emma Hart — I saw this review from My Tiny Obsessions that I’m beginning to regret following (for my wallet’s sake), and since it’s on a release day special of 99 cents I figured sure!!

New Releases:

32489200Coming Home to You (A Home Novel #2) by Tessa Marie — I adored the first book in this series (Home is Where You Are — see my Goodreads review here) and since this is an author I tend to one-click, I nabbed it as soon as it released!

 Got It On Sale:

33208794.jpg295472643229431520307976281715153019538425417138328825202972300731280291323250122596301531352830

  • Kick, Push & Coast Duet (Kick Push #1-2) by Jay McLean — I think I spotted this sale on The Rock Stars of Romance and snatched it up for 99 cents…  I already had the first book, but each book is usually like $3.99, so 99 cents for both was a no-brainer.
  • Spinning Out (The Blackhawk Boys #1) by Lexi Ryan — I have NO IDEA where I learned of this sale…honestly, like none.  It wasn’t my normal places, maybe a Facebook ad?  Maybe a blogger I follow shared it?  No idea, but I snatched it up for 99 cents.
  • The Opposite of Ordinary by Jessica Sorensen — Had this one on my wishlist and so I got an eReaderIQ alert that it was 99 cents from it’s normal $3.99.
  • Agent I1: Tristan (The D.I.R.E. Agency #1) by Joni Hahn — Darn Curly Carla wrote this review and so I had to snatch it up…especially since it’s free!!  (and still is, might always be)
  • Vertical Lines (The Vert Series #1) and The Grind (The Vert Series #2) by Kristen Kehoe — At the end of November I grabbed book 3 in this series on sale because I’d read one of this author’s short stories in the Get Lucky anthology and enjoyed it and so wishlisted a few of her books.  And then the rest of the series went on sale and I got the eReaderIQ alert that these were each 99 cents from $2.99.  Still on sale!
  • Christmas With You (Due South #4) by Tracey Alvarez — Saw this one on my My Book Cave Team daily newsletter for 99 cents from $2.99.  Still on sale!
  • Getting Wrapped Up (Sapphire Falls #3.5, #3.75) by Erin Nicholas — A BookBub find, this holiday bundle of novellas is still free from regular $3.99 I think.
  • Edge of Chaos (Love on the Edge #1) by Molly E. Lee — Another BookBub find (and an author that’s been recommended to me and that I met briefly at UtopiaCon this year), 99 cents from $3.99 I think.  Still on sale!
  • My Delicate Destruction (Wolfegang #1) by Jillian Ashe — I saw this book recommended by Alisha from The Bohemian Housewife on her Top Ten Books To Read If Your Book Club Likes Diversity, so I wishlisted it.  And thus eReaderIQ informed me that it is free (and still is) from its regular price of $2.99.
  • Once Upon a Royal Christmas by Robin Bielman — If you follow this blog, you’ll know this has been my favourite Christmas book this season so far, and so when I got the eReaderIQ alert (because I follow this author) that it was 99 cents from $3.99, I decided I wanted my own copy (instead of just the NetGalley copy).  Still on sale!
  • Crossroads (Crossroads #1) by Riley Hart — Another author I adore, and thus follow on eReaderIQ, so got the alert that it’s 99 cents from $3.99.  Still on sale!
  • Things That Shine (Brew Ha Ha and Double Blind Study Crossover) by Bria Quinlan and Heidi Hutchinson — I adore Ms. Quinlan, and so wishlisted this book when it came out a month or so ago.  Got the eReaderIQ alert that it is 99 cents from $4.99, and still on sale!
